Over 100 local professionals from Stockholm and Uppsala took part in yet another successful wine event organized by the E4quality project and promoted by the Consorzio Barbera d’Asti e Vini del Monferrato.
On February 18, Stockholm’s key players in the wine and food industry took part in a masterclass, led by world renowned Canadian Master of Wine, Michael Palij, who presented both territory and the featured denominations.
The masterclass was followed by a walk around session, where both Swedish professionals and wine lovers from the general public got the chance to meet il Botolo and the other 12 Piedmont wine producers and to taste wine portfolios from around the region of Monferrato.
On February 19, the participating wine producers plus members of the Barbera Consortium, headed out to Uppsala for a walk around wine tasting organized at Stallet: an exclusive chalet belonging to the famous Sommelier, educator and event planner Kaija and her husband Rolf Carlsson. The focus of the event was wine and food pairing between Swedish dishes, executed using high quality ingredients from Piedmont and wines from Monferrato.
This event was a huge success, which celebrated both Italian and Swedish cultures, and their coming together in their shared love of hospitality, attention to detail and quality.
