In the heart of Milan Wine Week, the most anticipated event of Milanese autumn, il Botolo debuted at the 10th edition of La Vendemmia of Via Montenapoleone, at one of the most prestigious boutique shops on the street: Vetrerie di Empoli.
On October 10, our Barbera d’Asti DOCG, together with Nobel Cuvée from “Ca’ d’Or-Franciacorta”, were the protagonists of this exciting event, held in the chick central location of Via Montenapoleone 22, in a boutique glass shop, where the art of working glass reflects the same Italian craftsmanship as the golden era. The event was held on third floor of the building, with a spectacular view of the crowds moving up and down the street and who joyously took part in the Grape Harvest event, today considered a symbol of Italian lifestyle.
Valuable antique lamps perfectly positioned in the style of the historical palazzo, splendid decorated glasses in the rooms and furniture created by Milan Politecnico set the stage for the wine tasting of our Barbera d’Asti.
Our wine was served in specially designed “rotating” stem glasses, that allow to taste wine in a completely innovative way: the “Gira e Rigira” stem wine glasses, patented by mastermind Franco Parentini, will take part in the competition Gold Compass 2020.
Hundreds of people attended the event, and guests included sommeliers, Food & Beverage experts, fashion personalities and journalists. Our Barbera d’Asti made a very good impression on the evening’s guests, thanks to its balance, authentic taste and pleasant drinkability.
For il Botolo it was an honor to participate in this important initiative and we are enthusiastic to work again with Vetrerie di Empoli, who shares our attention to detail, respect for tradition, and drive towards innovation. Follow us on social media to see how this partnership will grow!
