Barbera d’Asti Superiore
Barbera Superiore DOCG is a red wine with good harmony and robustness.
Under DOCG rules, this wine must be made with a minimum of 90% barbera grapes and all vinification, aging and bottling operations must be carried out within the DOCG area, that includes part of the provinces of Alessandria and Asti.
Prior to being released, Barbera d’Asti Superiore DOCG must be aged for at least 14 months, including at least 6 months in wood, that gives it its characteristic ruby red color and its vinous notes.
This structured and well-balanced wine is particularly suitable for pairing with pasta dishes, game, meat dishes and aged cheeses. Americans and Canadians alike are in love with this wine’s drinkability and structure, and particularly enjoy pairing it with chocolate-based desserts.
