The well-known wine sensory critic of international acclaim Luca Maroni has once again awarded outstanding points for our high-quality wines. This year the spotlight was on our latest gem NIZZA DOCG RISERVA 2016 vintage, which achieved a score of 95/100 points: an impressive first result for this wine in grand style!
Fantastic ratings for our other wines include 93 points for Piemonte DOC Chardonnay and Moscato d’Asti DOCG. Below are all the ratings awarded to il Botolo, published in Luca Maroni’s Best Italian Wines 2020:
Nizza DOCG Riserva – Vintage 2016: 95/100

Our work in the vineyard has been rewarded yet again by the latest edition of the Decanter World Wine Awards, the international wine competition established and managed by the prestigious British magazine Decanter: 3 silver medals for our Nizza DOCG 2017, Barbera d’Asti DOCG Superiore 2017 (both with scores of 90 points) and our Nizza DOCG Riserva 2016 (91 points).
This achievement is yet another demonstration of our attention to detail and our ongoing commitment to excellence, from the vineyard all the way through to the final product.
