Il Botolo was very pleased to return to Stockholm, after an initial visit in April of this year, this time for “Wine Days”, an event hosted by the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Sweden.
The event ran over the week-end November 22-25 at Operakällaren, one of Sweden’s most renowned restaurants. On the 22nd, the event was open to the public so that wine lovers were given the chance to experience food and wine made in Italy and meet producers from across Italy. Monday the 25th was a walk around tasting and was reserved for professionals coming from the food and beverage industry.
Il Botolo, together with its importer, Vinonista, presented Nizza docg, which generated a great deal of interest from both professionals and wine lovers alike. The requests for Nizza were numerous, and we are pleased to announce that the first cases have been shipped to Stockholm, and should be available soon on the Vinonista website (www.vinonista.com).
Il Botolo wishes to extend a very special thank you to Italian Ambassador, Mario Cospito, who came to visit us at our stand during the event, and who so graciously welcomed il Botolo’s own Export Manager, Ivana Pomposo, together with importer Martin Wall, to the Italian Embassy for an informal discussion on Italian wines in Sweden and how the Swedish market is one of the most attractive for Italian wines.
In fact, today Italy is the biggest supplier of wine to Sweden!
After the great success we achieved with Nizza during our visit to Stockholm, il Botolo is looking forward to very good things ahead in Sweden in 2020!
