After the huge success in Stockholm last April, Il Botolo was pleased to take part again in the E4Quality European Project, this time in Berlin, on October 27 and 28.
E4Quality is a two-year project in collaboration with the Consorzio Barbera d’Asti and Vini del Monferrato that wants to promote in a new and innovative way the story of quality agricultural products of the Piedmont region.
The German chapter of the project took place in Berlin and featured a walk around tasting on October 27 in the Cecconi’s Hall of the SohoHaus Hotel, with professionals from the food and beverage sector, journalists and wine lovers.
Following the walk around, a dinner was held for about 40 guests from the wine industry at the prestigious and famous Italian restaurant, Cecconi’s. On the 28th, a masterclass was held with il Botolo and other Piedmont wine producers and industry experts, addressing a large audience of professionals, communicators and potential customers, dedicated to the denominations of Barbera d’Asti docg and Ruche’ di Castagnole Monferrato docg. The masterclass was led by writer and lecturer Michele Longo (Italian curator for Hugh Johnson’s Pocket Wine Book), and renowned Master of Wine Romana Echensperger, best German Sommelier 2005, head sommelier of the 3 star Michelin restaurant “Vendôme a Cologne “(pluri winner of “Best Restaurant in Germany”) and wine journalist of the German Wine Institute.
The 2-day event concluded with a second walk around tasting held on October 28 where guests could meet and talk to producers and taste all of the wines featured.
This year Nizza docg celebrates its 4th birthday. The year 2020 has been a challenge for us all, but this has not put a damper on our desire to celebrate our territory’s young but oh so precious wine!
On June 25 and 26, the Consorzio Barbera D’asti e i Vini Del Monferrato in collaboration with Collisioni il Festival Agrirock , organized a music and wine event held in the charming courtyard of the Barolo Castle.
